Yesterdays Fleur de Lis Handicap (gr. II) at Churchill Downs was an incredible race. Happy Ticket was able to rally to beat Irish-bred favorite Oonagh Maccool by a dirty nose. While our friends at ESPN did a great job with the coverage, they only touched on the ride of Julien Leparoux. Thanks to the world greates invention, TiVo, I was able to watch the race 4 times. I like to watch the race, and then watch it again paying greater attention to the jockeys skills. Though it was the first time that Leparoux had the mount on Happy Ticket, he rode her like he had done it 100 times. Leparoux showed great patience, tucked in and stalked the pace, and went to the stick at just the right moment.
This guy is an amazing jockey, and I look forward to watching him for years to come.

TiVo is the best. I watched this and the Stephen Foster a few times -- such great finishes!
I can't wait until the rumored TiVo HD box comes out; hopefully by Breeders' Cup time.
The Breeder's Cup has never been offered in HD before. The KY Derby wasn't even in HD, and that has better neilson ratings. Are they going to offer HD this year?
i got the Belmont in HD last year. It was awesome, it's save until i erase status on my DVR.
