Talula Does the Hula

It's not just the Jockey Club that is having a hard time regulating names. Humans are also giving humans unusual names:
A New Zealand judge has made a 9-year-old girl a ward of the court so that her name can be changed from Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii (CNN)

Furthermore:
The Registrar General of Births, Deaths and Marriages said in a statement that it had rejected names including Fish and Chips, Yeah Detroit, Stallion, Twisty Poi -- a staple food in Polynesian cuisine -- and Sex Fruit.

I guess Sally Hemings isn't that bad a name after all......

My grandfather was of Indian ancestry. He was a great man, a proud man, and was fortunate to have kept his name:

"Bets with Both Fists"
