Calvin Borel Breaks Wrist

Calvin Borel sustained multiple fractures to his right wrist and was scheduled to undergo surgery after being thrown from his horse in the fifth race on Churchill's Thanksgiving Day card. Borel will remain hospitalized for an undetermined length of time as doctors work to repair the damage done when Borel was thrown as his mount fell after sustaining a fatal injury to his left front ankle during a 1 1/8 mile turf event for maidens.
