Groundhog's Day

Even though it is over a week away, it feels like Groundhog's Day here in Maryland. Just like Pete in Punxsutawney, equine herpes has poked out of its burrow for a visit. This year it appeared at the Bowie training grounds first. We will have to wait until the Maryland Department of Agriculture tells us if equine herpes saw his shadow, but I am not sure the industry can handle six more weeks of winter!
